Important word of indigenous people
The word to be addressed to the Mulnivasi is
used provisionally. Today it is a matter of thinking that by what name should the natives be addressed?
Because the term used to refer to the natives changed over time, such as, according to the Indian census, OtherReligion in 1871, Aboriginal in 1881, Forest Tribe in 1891, Animist in 1901, Animist in 1911, Primitive in 1921, Tribal Religion in 1931, Tribes in 1941, etc.,
After that in independent India, the term Scheduled Tribal has been used in 1951.
The term Scheduled Tribal which is used at
present is used only in government offices and other words (tribal, indigenous etc.) are used in non-government offices.
From all this mention it is concluded that not recognizing a community means not
understanding the importance of their identity.
